11x14 Deardorff w/30" f/12.5 Artar.

Speedotron strobes.
What began as an excuse to use the 11x14 Deardorff has grown into a new project about the strength of women and being able to capture their power and beauty together in a single frame.
Only one frame of this project so far fits with how I want it to continue to flesh out. This isn't it.
I'll keep shooting over the summer. I love this camera, and I feel I'm getting a good handle on the lighting as well.
This Deviation has been featured in my latest journal Big Eye's Feature Round #2 . Congratulations on your wonderful work, and i wish you all the best!
really lovley.........i love these pieces reminds me of old hollywood vintage glam...
i think you captured a different type of strength here.......more like the strength of her knowing who she is and owning it...the strength of being able to bend....really lovley the one thing is i have ocd and it looks like the necklace is crooked or not on her right so yeah
It is indeed and it bugs the shit out of me as well.
I have another (quite massive) negative of this where something else was off in the image (can't remember quite what at the moment) so I went with this one.
However...
I'm going to be doing digital output from these soon, in the realm of 40"x50" or so, which means I think I'll put forth the effort to take the necklace from the other one and place it into this one.
You're the first person to notice that and have it bug them as much as it does me!
Yeah i dont know why.....i think thats why i love to paint and draw so much more than pictures.....you can change something so much easier than with photography....lovley shot
I love the classic feel to it, great posing and lighting.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
